IEF is now a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA)

Ipswich Education Foundation (IEF) is now a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA). These awards will be presented annually to the award recipient.

“The ability to bestow Presidential recognition to your volunteers is a tremendous honor. Recognizing the great work and commitment of your volunteers can deliver a powerful message, one that encourages others to take action.”—PVSA

IEF was able to give out 3 Bronze and 1 Gold Award to 4 Ipswich Seniors through their work on GreenTeam and other volunteer organizations in 2021. The level of the award given is a function of hours of service, e.g., to earn a Bronze Award, the student performed collective 100 hours of service and for the Gold Award - 250+ hours. The students received a PVSA pin to wear at graduation and a letter from the White House signed by the President. Please see the table herein for levels of participation for the 4 age groups of Kids, Teen, Young Adults, and Adults.

“By sharing your time and passion, you are helping discover and deliver solutions to the challenges we face — solutions that we need now more than ever. We are living in a moment that calls for hope and light and love. Hope for our futures, light to see our way forward, and love for one another. Through your service, you are providing all three”—President Biden

The Ipswich Education Foundation intention is to expand this opportunity to the entire Ipswich school population for volunteerism that falls under the pillars of the Foundation for 2022 .e.g., Sustainability, Athletics, STEAM, et al. Congratulation to the 2021 recipients noted as follows: Ava Borgman, Ella Borgman, Caroline Jepson and Gabby Ramasci.
